Bandana Neck Scarf

HAPPY THURSDAY FRIENDS!

Have you ever found yourself wearing the same thing over and over and feel stuck in your style? Spring is here, and perhaps you're not a flowery pattern kind of gal and don't like some of the prints that are out there. Well, I totally understand you! Yes I am a risk taker and I love trying new things, but its very rare you will find me in a crazy print or very weird festive colors. I feel like I FINALLY found my style. After being a chameleon for many years and going from trend to trend I would say for the past 2 years I have been committed to buying and investing in timeless pieces that will always work (no matter what season we are in). However, that does NOT mean I won't be on trend with the latest things out there. What I always try to do is incorporate ONE or TWO new and trendy elements in my ensemble. It could be a lip color, a hat, a necklace, shoes, etc. From there I shoot for the rest to remain as timeless and neutral as possible. I want to be able to look back at pics and say, "Oh wow! That was cool!" rather than #NOT. So, my tip for all you stylish mommies out there is to check what's out there and what is in style now. See what fits your body and style best and begin with one item at a time. You don't have to feel outdated, pick timeless pieces and have a little fun with the rest.  I can't stress it enough, create a style that looks effortless.
So this Bandana scarf trend has been out for a little bit, I've seen it most on some monochromatic looks on some of my favorites fashion icons. Oh, and boys wear them too! Google it.

Hope this helps!

grey jumpsuit

Happy Thursday readers!

What does a casual day in our lives look like? Well, this is pretty much it. I love heels but I love flats, sneakers and wedges a lot more while hanging with G. I love when Giuliana wears onesies, they make life easy and she loves them too. She laughs every time she wears this one specifically #truestory. As for me, there's nothing better than a jumpsuit. Easy to style, it's like a one hit wonder, you just gotta choose the shoes and you are out the door! Once I saw this one I knew it was a must buy. Plus it's grey, if you know me you know I love grey and any neutral color they are just my fave! This jumpsuit it's so soft, could be dressed up or dressed down like seen here.

We've had a very interesting fun week to say the least. Giuliana is teething. Not one, but 3 molars are coming out. It has been so fun #NOT! But we are coping with it. I have many nieces and nephews and I never knew how crazy teething could be. I have learned that teething is different with every single kid! We hope teething is much different with our second one (not pregnant yet lol). Some home made fruity popsicles have helped us through this crazy week and has brought a smile to her face! (along with some tylenol, orajel and teethers! Lol)

Festival Vibes

Happy Friday!

With Coachella happening I felt inspired to do a shoot with festival vibes in mind. I often feel like I was born in the wrong era :) The 70's inspire me, and make me wish I was born in the middle of the beetles, bell bottoms, cool vibes and freedom to dress how you wanted.

The ‘70s fashion was all about freedom, a variety of colors, eclectic looks and a tendency to mix and match different styles with each other. It’s the time of the simultaneous existence of several styles in the fashion industry and the decade when the subcultures of hippies, punks and bohemian chic style followers emerged. The '70s style is much appreciated, for it became a means of expressing the individuality of a person, her unique vision of style and creativity. It was just awesome!

How adorable is this car? Insanely cute right? Well, the amazing and so patient (try photographing kids) Yesi from Simply lively was able to find this car and take us there to do our shoot. It just went perfect with our festive outfits. One of our family goals is to own a vintage car to drive on the weekends #truestory.

A lot goes behind the scenes to doing these kinds of shoots. One thing is to blog alone, another is to do a mommy and daughter post every week. Giuliana is not always up for pics, but for most part she behaves like a champ. It takes a lot of work and ALL DAY prep to make these few hours of shooting count. I am extremely grateful for my wonderful and insanely handsome husband who helps me, supports me, and believes in me EVERY SINGLE DAY. Without his help this wouldn't be possible! It takes a village to make these pics happen, with a toddler who wants to explore the world and a mom who wants to take pictures. LOL! So thankful for being able to document my journey of motherhood and fashion. Life is great and I am blessed!
