skirts & kitties

Top: Forever 21 Skirt: Saule Boutique Shoes: Zara Dress: Old Navy Boots: Target Headband: H&M

I came across this quote the other day, which I've seen multiple times and it stood out to me in this season of my life.

"What if I fall? But my darling, what if you fly??"

As mothers, we live in the "what ifs" many times in our days, weeks, months. We are afraid of taking risks because we are a "stay at home moms. I've experiencing this lately. We are filled with so many dreams and expectations, and we are afraid. Fear paralyses us. I feel that when I was younger I took many more risks. Now, as a mom I feel like I play it safe too often.

My goal for this year is to do it afraid, no matter how scary my dreams can be, I must do it afraid.

I heard this quote from my pastor last week and it really changed my thinking about dreams and goals, "A dream without a deadline is just a fantasy." This couldn't be more clear. We place deadlines to our dreams and prepare to fly.

Now,  let's talk fashion. Im obsessed with this top from Forever 21. So stinking cute! It's a white sequence tee and I think it could be dressed up or down. It's such a fun statement piece. Of course, G doesn't miss a beat, she's just sassy, full of light and energy just like every other post. Her sense of fashion is pretty cool, and lately she's been choosing what shoes to wear. She loves to wear boots with dresses, and these days she's constantly asking to see herself in the mirror!

b-low the belt

Top: Style Stalker via Mimo Market, Jeans: Asos, belt: B-low the belt via Dash boutique, Shoes: Vince Camuto via Macys.

Happy Friday eve!!!!

Who says being a mom automatically puts you in the "not so cool" category? I am trying to break that mold. If you are a mom and this year one of your goals or resolutions is to take care of your physical appearance, along with staying on trend and looking younger. Then this post is for you. My goal as a lifestyle writer is to bring awareness to this area. YES! YOU can wear those heels, hat and belt while being a mom and carrying your toddler around.

Whenever I wear this belt I get asked so many times where its from. I linked a couple of different sizes and colors below. I first saw this belt on Kendall Jenner and I immediately passed out. While in NYC strolling through soho this past year, I saw it on the mannequin in DASH boutique, so I made my way inside and bought it right away. I am secretly obsessed with belts (not a secret anymore) I've worn this belt multiple times already, with jeans, skirts and dresses!!!! It is simply the best. It is such a great statement piece.

HIGHLY recommended it!
