“Beauty begins with the moment you decide to be yourself.” COCO CHANEL

I posted this quote on the blog a while back, and I honestly couldn’t agree more. We live in a world where we are constantly being pressured to be someone or something portrayed by someone else – usually from some sort of media outlet. Don’t get me wrong, like I mentioned last week, I love social media, especially Instagram. I like following other fashion bloggers that inspire me and evoke new ideas. Our imagination and ability to create is a gift from God, and we should tap into it; but it is unhealthy to meander from our true self just to try and fit in. There are those that address weight and appearance standards that lead others to terrible eating habits and deep insecurities, which once again, stray us far from the whole person God has created us to be. You were created in God’s very own imagination and then spoken into existence; this is the highest level of comfort and inspiration we can ever draw from.

I discovered my love for fashion probably around the same time as most girls, which was as soon as I discovered mom’s closet filled with treasures such as shoes and jewelry! Right ladies?! Fashion is a way of expressing yourself and speaking without words. It is an avenue to which you can create your own adventures, and I love it. Besides dressing up, the coolest part of fashion is the process of searching for trends and the latest styles that fit my age and body. Mixing styles, colors and textures is so fun! Don’t be scared to do this, since with great risk can come great reward and you’ll regret every opportunity you don’t take to live life to the fullest. I’ve received testimonies about how an outfit I wore has inspired someone, and this is so humbling. Friends and other women I don’t know have asked for tips and guidance and I find it so cool that we can all learn from each other if we’re willing to step out of our shells and reach out.

Now lets talk fashion....Suede is the leather of the season.... Can't get enough of this incredible material, so soft & comfy for an everyday look, or dress it up for a night around town. Boyfriend jeans are here to stay. The more holes they have, the better. And who doesn't love white pumps? Well, I do! I love anything white! So crisp and clean. You could never go wrong with neutrals.

Happy Thursday!
As most of you know, I began bloggin because I wanted to document my journey as a new mom. One of my most valuable goals I have with this blog is the fact that I want to inspire women and especially young moms to live and feel your best through fashion in every season of life. As stay-at-home moms we deal with real life feelings like feeling lost and confused as to what our purpose is. YES, your primary reason and job description is to be a MOM - to nurture and protect; to love and correct; and to teach and inspire. However, there is no doubt you could lose your sense of purpose as you're shaping someone else's life. You may feel like that is all you do, and that your life doesn't matter, but what you do for others is what really matters most! Do not get me wrong, fashion is not the solution to feeling purposeless or lack of vision and hope. At all! But one thing I have learned as a stay-at-home mom: YOU CANNOT spend ALL day in your raggy clothes. It will just make you feel worse, and like I've mentioned before, fashion is just a tool we could use to lift up our self-esteem. I believe God is the answer, leaving your life in HIS hands and investing and spending time with HIM (through reading His word, prayer, & attending church) is the only way to find out your true purpose in life.

Hope this helps someone along your journey. Know you are not alone!

With that being said, now lets talk fashion! I really love and enjoy being unique and discovering my style within each piece I buy. That doesn't mean I don't draw inspiration from other beautiful bloggers I follow, but it means that I look for items that really fit my life, style, body and shape. Not everything you see on a mannequin, model or blogger totally fits you. Spend some time building your style .

I love hats, I already confessed that in a previous post. I wear them a lot. Not just when I take blog pics. I try to incorporate them in my everyday lifestyle. They are just me lately. lol! This look is very simple, kinda obsessed with this long and oversized button down shirt/dress from urban outfitters. It is so comfy and versatile. It could be worn with jeans or shorts. You could dress is up or dress it down. Totally your choice.

One of the coolest things about social media is the amount of people you could meet from all over the world. Not just accross the globe but also the ones that live in your same zip code. That is the case for Yesi Flores from Simplylively. Such a wonderful & talented photgrapher, who happens to live 5 minutes away from me! ha! Thanks to a mutual friend and IG we began a friendship.

Now lets talk fashion, in a recent visit to Canada I went to one of the BEST stores ever! Aritzia. I could have bought the whole store, BUT since I was limited in my luggage space I was only able to bring few but key pieces, like this poncho. Its the perfect combo of trendy and lightweight for our miami spring weather. Oh and excuse my toddler's bruise on her cheek, she runs all day long! lol.
